REFLECTIONS

Does your child like to paint, dance or make movies? Reflections is a way for them to share their talents. Reflections is a nationwide, PTSA sponsored event. Art pieces are collected at the school level. 10 entries advance to the district level. Then of those 440, some advance to the state level. And the state gets to send several entries onto the national level. Please click here to learn more.

** Please note the only help parents can give their child is buying materials and submitting the entry form.  Otherwise all effort must be the child’s work.

6 categories to enter: Visual Arts, Dance, Photography, Music Composition, Choreography, and Literature.  This years theme…”I am Hopeful Because…. “ In your artist statement, let the judges know how your art shows “I am hopeful because….”

Rosa Parks will be accepting entries the last full week of October. Entries are due Oct. 27. Please email reflections@rosaparksptsa.org with any questions and to enter.

Birthday Books

Birthday Books is a PTA-sponsored program.  It is a great way to celebrate your child’s birthday while enhancing Rosa Park's Library collection. This allows our school community the gift of reading. A Birthday Book can be donated by signing up online. Making a donation to the Birthday Book program will enable our Librarian to select and purchase a book on behalf of the birthday child.
